You never know when you will be called up

I was to a high school baseball game the other day for my nephew.  He was always telling us about his games, so that day I just happen to be in the area where the game was being played.  I was surprised to see one of his good friends going up to pitch.  Later when I asked my nephew about his friend pitching, he said it was the first time that he had been chosen.
Many of us have the potential for greatness that others see in the person we are. You never know when you will be called out from the field, and be chosen. It is your chance to shine.  You may be called up to pitch when you least expect it. Step up to the plate and make it your best throw. It’s about that opportunity that is given to you each day.

Kobe Bryant retiring from the L.A. Lakers basketball team.  I remember when he was drafted.  He had to sit and waiting for his name to be chosen for team, that opportunity for shine.  Congratulations you did it.

We can lose our focus.

Losing focus
Losing focus

Dear O and friends,
I have been busy with personal things happening (the unexpected ), that I lost my focus on where I want to go. It is time to do something different and get yourself back on track. I have dreams for myself, that will require lots of work in order to make them happen.

There are times that we get so far away from where we want to go in life that it can be hard think back to what is important. Sometimes when you start one thing only to have the unexpected issues, you know (I didn’t see that coming), takes priority. Then there are the times that will let others problems become our own. Those things can distract us enough that we forget what we wanted to accomplish. We have to get us, and move in the direction we wanted to go for our own self.

I am the person, that others depend on when they need help. I have to blame myself for some of it, by not saying the word, no. It is one of my issues, not wanting to disappoint others. These days I am the same way, but I have learned not to step up so quickly or be involved in everything that others are doing. You have to leave time to do you. Otherwise, you are taking away from the time that you need to accomplish your projects. We grow by everything that has happened in our life.

Do you dream big or small?
